Lutheran Via de Cristo of North Texas is excited to announce
that Weekend 107 will take place at Bridgeport Camp and
Conference Center, August 18-21.

What is Via de Cristo?

Via de Cristo (VdC) is a lay-led experience, designed to
strengthen your walk with Christ and to develop leaders within the local church. Many of the worship assistants, Stephen Ministers, teachers, and other congregation leaders at Calvary have attended a Via de Cristo weekend.

Impact of Via de Cristo:

We asked a few of them what impact their Via de Cristo had on their life.

  • “I had experienced a faith renewal years before when times were tough. As my life improved, my prayer life diminished. Nothing bad, nothing noticeable - just not the same. (Taking Christ for granted) but my VdC weekend, changed all that for the absolute positive better.”
  • “I was a complacent Christian. I went to VdC in 1988 and it sparked a renewed meaning to my faith walk. Jesus became more real and intimate than I thought possible. It brought a new peace and joy to my life that has not faded."
  • “It awakened me to how much God loves me, loves all of us and we are called to share that love with others.”

Cost:

Although the weekend costs about $200 to provide, we in the VdC community believe so strongly in it that as sponsors and encouragers, we cover the cost for all new participants.

If you want more information:

If you’d like to know more, please ask one of the pastors, Paul or Sharon (Bartells or Dobbs) or anyone wearing a rainbow lanyard. As one of our commenters said, “It’s too good not to share.”
