Presbyterian Night Shelter

CALLING FOR HELP AT PNS

For at least a decade, Calvary volunteers have been fulfilling a portion of the church mission by acting as food servers at the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, a team of from four to six volunteers sign in at 3:45 p.m. at the shelter. From that time until 5:30 p.m., they serve between 350 and 500 meals. The work is fulfilling, not difficult and provides insight into the growing problem of homelessness.

We are now hoping to add to our PNS group of missionaries. To join in, we’ll need to hear from you. We’ll put your information on our list and include you in a rotation of volunteers. The goal is to give everyone a chance to help.
The shelter is located at 2400 Cypress St. in Fort Worth. Volunteers can car-pool from church, if they choose. Just let us know if you prefer to do so.
