Meredyth has a Bachelor of Music Education from Baylor University, and taught elementary music in the DFW area before beginning her path to ministry. She entered TCU's Brite Divinity School in the Fall of 2016 and plans to graduate May of 2020 with a goal to enter into full-time chaplaincy. Meredyth is an ordination candidate for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), but is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve at Calvary. She feels it is important to learn about other denominations, faiths, cultures, etc. God has provided her so much in finding Calvary at the same time that we needed an intern. She is looking forward to beginning this journey.
21--Molly Eversoll

I was born and raised in Clinton, Iowa and attended Luther College in Decorah, IA. At Luther I majored in English and Religion and I loved reading, writing, and learning about peoples' lives and experiences through my majors. I also enjoyed being involved in campus ministry and the small group outreach program at Luther. After I graduated, I did a year of service with Urban Servant Corps in Denver. After my year of service, I moved to Chicago to attend seminary at LSTC. In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures around Chicago with my friends, running, crocheting, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with my family.

19-- Anna Ernst
2015-2016
Intern Anna attended Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH, graduating in 2010 with a B.A. in Music. Her focus was in American Music History, and she completed an independent local history research project about African-American Music/Jazz Studies program and the life of a local jazz pianist. At Oberlin, Anna was active in the student dining co-operative association, mental health awareness organizations, musical ensembles, and an ecumenical campus ministry.
Anna's campus pastors encouraged her to apply to Lutheran Volunteer Corps for my post-undergraduate formation, and it was this experience, specifically her position working part-time in community outreach and development for two small inner-city congregations in Omaha, NE, that led her to fully realize a call to ordained ministry. Before applying to seminary, Anna moved back to the Maryland suburbs of Washington to gain some experience in the secular non-profit and social services sector. She worked for the social services wing of an affordable housing developer and counseling agency, connecting residents to benefits such as SNAP (food stamps), health care, and energy assistance.

His mother teaches first grade and his father is the bishop of the South Carolina Synod ELCA. Drew has two sisters who both work in elementary education. A call to ministry was not in mind while studying history and philosophy at Furman University, but four summers spent at Lutheridge Camp were foundational in realizing his call. After college, Drew spent three years working as the Director of Youth Ministry and Congregational Discipleship at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC before deciding to attend seminary in Chicago.
That's where Drew met Sara. They were engaged in January and plan to be married in August. Next year, Sara will work as a hospital chaplain while completing a Clinical Pastoral Education residency at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth.

With the encouragement of her pastor, she decided to pursue ministry and social work together. Amy is currently finishing a Masters in Social Work at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA) and pursuing her Masters of Divinity at the Lutheran School of Theology Chicago. She is open to God’s call for her in combining these passions for ministry and service to God’s people.
