Viktor Andersson

Mr. Andersson graduated from Texas Lutheran Univ. with a degree in music theory and composition, where he studied under Gerhard Cartford. Graduate studies in composition were with Luciano Berio and Vincent Persichetti. He began piano at age 3 with his great-grandmother Lucy (first recital at 5), and organ studies at age 12 under Emmett Smith (TCU). At TLU he continued organ (principal instrument) under Mary Esther Orth and Anne Parks. His M.A in theology was earned at Oxford Univ. in England, where he was an organ scholar, and M.P.A. at Western Michigan Univ. He has served as Graduate Assistant in Liturgics at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Music Director, Choir Director, and Organist at churches throughout Texas, Michigan, Illinois, Manhattan and England. He is a performer, published composer, workshop leader and has worked at organ building with Rubin Frels.
