WHO WE ARE…
To lend a hand to God’s children in Northeast Tarrant County by providing food, clothing and financial assistance to needy, lowincome and crisis-struck families on an emergency basis until longterm assistance can begin.

NEED hosted the annual volunteer luncheon in April at Shady Oaks Baptist Church.
This is the picture of our Calvary volunteers who were able to attend.
They include the following, from left to right:
Jeff Huston, Virginia Williams, Laura Anderson, Toni Tharp, Truette Taylor, Tricia Huston and Mickey Nowell.
We were missing Vicki Johnson, Dale Abram and Ken Laursen.  Most of these Calvary members have been a part of the Calvary volunteer team for many years.  Thank you to all.

NEED continues to try manage as best as they can with low inventory levels of many items.  If you are willing & able, please continue to fill the grocery cart in the narthex with your donations.
Special requests now include:

  • Pasta
  • Canned soup
  • Crackers
  • Snacks
  • Cereal

ITEMS NEEDED:

NEED has been very busy during the month of August and continues to serve many community families every day.

Above is a picture of our own Jeff Huston, Calvary volunteer, and Jeanne Caledera, NEED West Manager, emptying a very full cart of food donations received from all of you. And this wasn't the first big cart that had been brought to NEED this month. We have had a wonderful response and appreciate all of the food donations that have been received.

If you are able, please continue to drop donations into the grocery cart across from the library. We will make sure it gets to NEED.

Thank you again so much.

WHERE CRISIS RELIEF IS MET WITH A CARING HEART

Since 1983 North East Emergency Distribution has been a community supported and faith based non-profit agency. We are blessed by support from area churches, individuals, businesses, grants and proceeds from our Twice Blessed ReSale Boutique.

With no application process N.E.E.D. can supply families with food and TXU assistance in our 13 Tarrant County area zip codes.

Because our guidelines are flexible, we are in a position to also give referrals, and offer supplemental services for seniors. In some cases, we can assist with work - related transportation needs.

NEED address is 5028 Broadway Ave., Haltom City.
Thank you for your continued support.

The Calvary volunteer team will continue to help at NEED West on every Tuesday of the month. We stock shelves, sort & bag food, and keep the area looking clean & organized.

If you would like to volunteer or donate at NEED East (424 W. Bedford Euless Rd, Hurst), contact them directly at 817-280-0286 or go to https://needdfw.org/

Thank you Calvary for your continued support

Sincerely,
Cindy Lara

We continue to volunteer at the NEED West food pantry (located at 5028 Broadway in Halton City) every Tuesday. There are about 8 volunteers from Calvary who currently help stock shelves and bag groceries. Thank you to these volunteers for their commitment to this ministry.
Please note that NEED West no longer accepts any clothing or household donations. Please do not leave these donations in the NEED basket located in the hallway. NEED East (located at 424 W Bedford Euless Road in Hurst) continues to accept all donations so please go to their location for drop off. Their most "needed" items now includes children's clothing and household dishes or pots & pans.
Any food donations can continue to be left in the NEED basket and they are currently short of snacks like crackers, cookies, chips, etc. Coffee & tea are also always in short supply along with jelly/jam.
