Room in the Inn
We host 10 homeless men on Tuesday nights during the hottest and the coldest months of each year (July- August, December-February). We enjoy a meal together, play games, socialize, and connect with our guests as friends. Our guests receive a warm bed, a hot meal, a listening ear, and genuine hospitality. We receive new relationships, widened perspective, and full hearts.Our guests come to us through the Day Resource Center. All potential guests are screened to ensure the safety of all involved in the ministry.

Kairos Prison Ministry
bringing the message of Christ to men and women in area prisons. You can visit those in prison by sending your prayers, financial support, and some homemade cookies. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you would like to make a financial contribution to the ministry, make checks payable to Kairos of Texas and in the note line put Coffield Unit #38.

North East Emergency Distribution
NEED is a Northeast Tarrant County faith-based non-profit organization whose sole mission is to provide short-term emergency assistance of food, clothing and financial support. North East Emergency Distribution is a community supported non-profit agency. We are blessed by support from area churches, individuals, businesses, grants and proceeds from our Twice Blessed Resale Shop.

Presbyterian Night Shelter
A homeless shelter in Fort Worth at which Calvary members volunteer two Fridays a month. Calvary members also make sandwiches once a month for the PNS.Join the crew in Calvary’s kitchen on Tuesday, the 21st of each month to help make sandwiches for the homeless at the Presbyterian Night Shelter. The assembly line begins at 12:00p.m.

Noisy Offering
Calvary’s Social Ministries Committee has determined that for the year 2018, we can do the best in our world by giving our Noisy Offering collections to the ELCA Good Gifts Program. By supporting the program, we put our money towards Disaster Response, World Hunger, and the ELCA Fund for Leaders, to name a few. We’ll highlight a specific way this program works each month.

The Women of ELCA
These women have made hundreds of quilts to contribute to Lutheran World Relief efforts, assembled personal care kits for LWR, filled backpacks with school supplies, and made stockings to support the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. This is one productive group!

The Social Ministry committee helps ensure that these groups have what they need to continue their good works, recruit new volunteers to these activities, and also look for new opportunities for Calvary members to contribute to the community. We meet the 1st Monday of every month at 6pm in the Library, and are always happy to have new faces and new ideas.
