UPBRING’S - Foster Children’s Christmas Party!

Saturday, December 7 AT 10:00AM
You are invited to help us make this a Christmas Party to remember for our local foster children and their families! We need people to help decorate, bake cookies, be party hosts and then clean up. We are also collecting new and gently used books for these children. Contact Janelle to volunteer .

Advent Vespers Dessert Social, Sunday, December 8
Please come and enjoy celebrating the start of the Advent Season with Music, Worship, Fellowship and Wonderful Desserts, hosted by the Fellowship Committee on Sunday December 8th, will follow the Advent Vespers Service. Please bring one or more of your favorite desserts to share.
The Fellowship Committee will provide a variety of warm and hot beverages.
Children’s Christmas Pageant & Cookie Reception - Sunday, December 15
The Congregation is invited to join us for Children’s Christmas Pageant & Cookie Reception
Sunday, December 15 ~ 9:30 service. The program will be in the Sanctuary. Cookie Reception will be in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service
TOUCHDOWN!!!!!! Another 6 points on the scoreboard. We have achieved our goal of $2,500.00 for the first water well. October’s Noisy offering raised $353.00 bringing our total since reinstituting the program to $2,526. We will take a recommendation to the Church Council on November 10th to get approval for the next gift for the ELCA Good Gifts Program.

Have fun and fellowship serving the needy. Join the crew in Calvary’s kitchen on the 21st of each month to help make sandwiches for the homeless at the Presbyterian Night Shelter. The assembly line begins at 12:00p.m.
Calvary Yoga
Anna Trimm leads an all ages / all abilities yoga class each Tuesday from 10-11am in the Family Life Center (gym). Anna has a 20 year career as a movement therapist and focuses these classes on breathing and general flexibility. You can contact her to sign up at

We have been serving dinner at PNS twice per month for almost 5 years and praise God for all the volunteers who have served. PNS is at capacity each night and we are serving 600 homeless, many of whom are our friends from RITI. Subsequently, we need 5 volunteers each time to meet the demand at PNS.

This year's retreat will be in Waco. Registration includes lodging, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, Bible study activities and a few surprises. Find a roommate and signup! Deposit is $75, balance due February 11. Depending on room accommodations, prices range from$135 to $220 each.
